ABOUT
THE STUDIO is situated at a prime location in the heart of Bishop Auckland, just off its historic market place.
It took some four months to renovate the premises; once used as a bar and nightclub, and offers dancers of all ages and levels a professional, comfortable, fully equiped studio in which to dance.
THE STUDIO also boasts one of the largest, sprung, dances floors in the area at just over 85 meters²
‘The Sandra Welsh School of Dance’ has operated longer than most other schools in the area, celebrating its 30th year of service in 2015.
The school is proud to have had the opportunity to take young dancers to perform in, not only several European countries and Local Theatres, but also in the London's West End at such places as Her Majesty's Theatre and Sadler's Wells Theatre.
Some of the School's dancers have also gone onto dance professionally, not only on stage, but, other venues such as professional cruise ship entertainment.
The school prides itself with offering students, from pre-school to adult, high quality and professional dance/musical theatre training.
Students of all ages and ability are given the opportunity to perform in live theatre at our fantastic, annual production and to take dance exams through several, established examination boards.
THE STUDIO offers a safe, warm and welcoming environment for students to perform and learn.
